Kristian Maxwell Proctor

Founder, Roamio Talent Acquisition

From my first junior roles in Newcastle, Australia - through the hotels and venues of Sydney, the laneway venues of Melbourne, the gritty hospitality scene of Manchester and Leeds, and the sun-drenched warmth of Seville, Spain - I spent twenty years learning this industry from the inside out.

Not as a recruiter watching from the outside. As an operator. Standing in the sections, managing the rosters, sitting in the briefings, having the difficult conversations, and understanding what it actually takes to run a hospitality business properly.

I've worked within some of Australia's and the UK's most recognised hospitality brands - Park Plaza Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, Accor Group, and Journey Beyond reaching Head of Department level with Accor, opening the kitchen at Alto Hotel in Melbourne's CBD, and working within the culinary team at Journey Beyond, one of Australia's most iconic luxury travel experiences.

I've managed teams, controlled wage costs, read P&Ls, and hired people - good ones and bad ones - and learned the difference between the two.

That's what I bring to every search Roamio takes on.

What Sets Roamio Apart

Operator-Led

Every search is run by someone who has actually done the job. Not a recruiter who learned hospitality from a job description - an operator who lived it across three countries and twenty years.

Personally Invested

This isn't a transaction. Roamio was built out of genuine passion for an industry that deserves better than what traditional recruitment has offered it. Every placement matters because this industry matters.

Accountable Beyond Placement

Most recruiters disappear the moment the contract is signed. We stay involved for 90 days because placing someone is the beginning of the work, not the end of it.
